The Facts (Chapter number: Verse)
14:21 - You shall not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
15:12 - If a member of your community, whether a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, is sold to you and works for you six years you shall let him go on the seventh.
15:13-17 - If the slave wishes to stay with you after they have been freed that seventh year they may, and you shall thrust an awl through their earlobe and they shall be your slave forever. This apples to both male and female slaves.
16:11 - During the festival of weeks you shall rejoice with your sons and daughters, male and female slaves, and Levites residing in your town, as well as the strangers, orphans and widows among you.
16:14 - During the festival of Booths you shall rejoice with your sons and daughters, male and female slaves, Levites residing in your town, strangers, orphans and widows among you.
17:2-7 - If a man or woman among you does what is evil in the sight of the Lord and is found to be guilty then they shall be stoned, only on the evidence of two or three witnesses.
17:17 - A man shall not acquire many wives for himself or else his heart will turn away.
My Comments
So not much again. The only really interesting bit is the line about a man not taking too many wives because his heart would turn away from God. Again, we see that women are never to be trusted and are apparently only there to lure men away from God. Which I guess makes sense when the original woman Eve turned Adam away with the apple. Women are just doomed to forever be the harbingers of evil and treachery, I guess.
And seriously, haven't we heard enough about how to worship you properly, God? It's really getting boring.
