My Comments

I'm about ready to give up on this book. There is just nothing here.

Although I think it is amusing that almost all the prayers are asking God for something like smiting an enemy or a friend who has broken a promise or something along those lines. Seems that the Christian God is more of a God of vengeance than a God of love. Just saying.

  1. A guy on YouTube moaned that as there's only about four themes used in the 150 Psalms, it all becomes monotonously repetitious. There's also little mention of women: six verses mention "mother" and one each mention "daughter Zion", "sisters" and "woman" for 9 verses in 7 Psalms so far; that's 10.61% of the 66 chapters, but only 0.90% of the 999 verses. That's dry reading.
